What I Do

I build companies in markets where trust is the main barrier to growth.

I started as a developer and product leader, which taught me to solve problems by building things rather than theorizing about them. When I wanted to understand African real estate, I spent six months on the ground in Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya, and South Africa interviewing buyers, agents, developers, lawyers, and land registries. When I saw the packaging problem, I didn't pitch it to manufacturers. I built the factory. I figure out what's actually broken, then build the fix.

BLIA (Buy Land In Africa):BLIA makes it safe to buy property in Africa from anywhere in the world. We're building the fintech infrastructure to make cross-border African real estate transactions actually work. Real-time escrow that handles the messy reality of multiple currencies, inconsistent banking systems, and verification processes that vary by country. We verify agents based on their actual transaction performance, not just what they claim. Machine learning models that spot fraudulent documents and problematic patterns before deals go sideways. AI assistants that handle lead qualification in multiple languages so agents can focus on closing deals. We have 90,000+ buyers on the waitlist and verified agent networks in Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, and South Africa.

Ecoway Paper:During the 2020 lockdowns, a friend and I turned a simple insight - that restaurants and bubble tea shops would switch to paper straws if they actually worked and didn't cost 3x more - into a vertically-integrated manufacturing company disrupting the $20B single-use plastics market. By controlling our production facilities across two countries, we've cracked what competitors couldn't: paper straws that don't get soggy, cost 40% less, and are actually sustainable. We ended up creating a manufacturing business in Africa, supplying over 500 businesses across the US, helping major brands transition to eco-friendly products at mass-market prices.
